Most of the watches that come through our doors are made for men. This is due to a higher popularity of luxury watches for men and overall higher resale value. This ladies Patek was not only unexpected, but impressive. It has all of the elements of a quality Patek with a refined elegance for an active woman. Inside the sleek and steady steel structure is a fully functional, accuracy tested quartz movement. The competition over this fine watch resulted in a high bid of $5,175.

4. Patek Philippe Limited Edition 3960J

This 3960J 150TH ANNIVERSARY limited edition is quite a special timepiece. In fact, it is referred to as “the father of all Patek Calatravas”. Upon its release in 1989, the 3960 was produced in limited numbers: 2,000 yellow gold, 150 white gold, and 50 platinum. This particular piece has a yellow gold hunter style case with a yellow gold hinge back. The case back is engraved (in french) “Patek Philippe Geneva 150th Anniversary 1839 – 1989”. Complementing the gold case, is a crocodile leather strap with an 18k yellow gold pin buckle. The dial is classic white with Arabic numeral hour markers. Inside the watch is a manual wind movement, Caliber 215 PS. Our watch buyers knew they were looking at a timeless treasure here with a winning bid of $9,900.

It’s hard not to notice that this Patek Philippe has a completely different look than the other classic Patek models. However, don’t be fooled by its casual appearance, all the high quality Patek parts are there with an automatic 324SC calibre composed of 213 parts, 29 jewels, six bridges, and a power reserve of 45 hours. For the Patek lover on a tropical vacation, the distinctive rubber strap, screw down crown and 120m level of water resistance is a perfect combination. Watch buyers in our network certainly agreed, with a winning bid of $14,478.

2. Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5135G

This is one of the finest looking watches ever made by Patek. It is also one of the most widely favored Patek Philippe annual calendar watches. This reference 5135 G is now discontinued and thus highly coveted. With its tonneau case (a first for any Patek Philippe annual calendar) and arrangement of the day, date and month windows around the top of the dial, this complicated Patek has a very a unique look. The watch comes with an in-house automatic movement, caliber is 324 S with 34 jewels and a 45 hour power reserve. The watch has the Geneva Quality Seal stamped on the movement and measures at 40mm long, by 38mm wide, by 12mm thick (lugs and crown not included) Last known MSRP $45,600. Our watch expert described it as “excellent condition, very light marking of wear, nothing serious, all can be easily buffed, strap is perfect in function but shows wear mainly on its inner side.” It was no surprise to us that this Patek was able to get a high bid of $22,950.

1. Patek Philippe Limited Edition Calatrava 5565

In 2006, Patek Philippe opened a new boutique in Geneva. To mark the occasion, the Patek Philippe Calatrava 5565 was released as a limited edition with only 300 produced worldwide. Unsurprisingly, the watch immediately sold out. The piece itself measures at 36mm wide with a thickness of just 7.5mm. The movement is a manually-wound Patek Philippe 215ps caliber. Making this piece even more rare, it is made of stainless steel with a delicate engraving of the building with the commemorative description; “1839 – 1892 – 2006.” Our most expensive Patek auctioned on our site, this auction ended with a winning bid of $34,000.
