Just as Blink-182’s drummer boy, Travis Barker, was saying “I do” to Kourtney Kardashian in Italy, his ex-wife Shanna Moakler was getting ready to sell her engagement ring.
Shanna and Travis married in 2004 and share two children, Landon (18) and Alabama (16). They co-starred on the MTV reality series, “Meet the Barkers” which followed the couple early on in their marriage. The couple divorced in 2008.
Shanna has had an on-off relationship with model Matthew Rondeau while Travis began dating Kourtney Kardashian in early 2021 and proposed in October of that year. The couple recently married in Portofino, Italy in April 2022. According to Shanna, she and Travis continue to co-parent their two children well and she has “nothing but well0wishes for the newlyweds”.
Shanna’s ring, which was purchased in 2008 from Cartier, features a 4.01 carat round brilliant cut diamond on a diamond-encrusted band (130 small stones). The center stone itself has a high color grade (G) as well as high clarity grade (very very slightly included 2), making it a high-quality diamond.
The ring was originally purchased from Cartier for $160,000, according to Shanna.
The ring was sold by auction on Worthy.com for $96,500 on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022.
When asked about why she decided to sell her ring, Shanna told Us Weekly, “Nobody expects a happy marriage to end … and nobody ever hopes to let go of sentimental and valuable things … I wanted to thank worthy.com for making the most out of a beautiful time in my life.”
