Maybe it was the anticipation of Halloween. Or maybe it was all those Marie Kondo-inspired individuals tidying up. Whatever it was, October 2019 saw plenty of jewelry to make our jaws drop and just say “WOW!”
This month brought a number of eye-catching watches, each one very unique. The Breitling K13048 Chronomat Automatic (#2) is not only a fully gold watch but it also features two dials, with an extra one on the watch’s bracelet. The Girard-Perregaux watch from the Cat’s Eye collection (#7) not only includes a diamond bezel but a beautifully colored watch face. Finally, the iconic Tiffany & Co. Ronda watch (#9) from the brand’s East-West collection includes Tiffany’s famous blue on the face and band as well as art deco numbers that give a nod to the company’s heritage.
Of course, many watch wearers favor function over fashion when it comes to an everyday watch. If you’ve had your eye on a smartwatch or another piece of smart jewelry, maybe it’s time to sell your timepiece and buy something more futuristic.
Two more items that we just loved to look at this month were the tourmaline, ruby, and diamond bangle (#8) and the flower motif on the round cut solitaire ring shown below (#4). Bangles and other intricate jewelry are certainly on-trend right now, but if a piece of fine jewelry doesn’t feel like something you can wear forever, you might want to consider an upgrade to something you can wear well into your fashionable future.
