Worthy loves single moms and is enjoying celebrating the strength, determination, and amazing ways these women kick ass and conquer the world during our current campaign! Hundreds of single moms are demonstrating just how worthy they are by participating in our Kickass Single Moms Sweepstakes. These moms are creating memes describing their incredible Kickass Single Mom Moments for a chance to win a trip for two to New York City!

Worthy’s single mom supreme and her guest will receive airfare and accommodations to the Big Apple and a special invitation to attend the book launch party for Emma Johnson’s new book, The Kickass Single Mom (Penguin). You know this contest was made for single moms when it even includes money to take care of the winner’s childcare!

Single moms from all over the country have until September 17 to share their kickass moments. As we go through the Kickass Gallery, we can’t help but think that the entries are everything one would expect from the worthiest of single moms: they’re inspiring, humorous, tear felt, and all the proof needed that there’s nothing a single mom can’t do!

If a “Kickass Single Mom Moment” is a snapshot of a single mom’s day, they’re amazing days, indeed! Here is a sampling of what these moms shared with us:

The humorous

“Got invited to go bowling with my veteran friends. Couldn’t find childcare. Ended up bowling with an 18-month-old on my hip. Best bowling game ever!”

“Hosted a slumber party for ten 10-year-old girls and survived!”

“Remembering to pick up all the right kids at the right schools at the right time!”

“Did my roots while preparing for a hurricane!”

“I made my daughter laugh hysterically”

The determined

“Saving $150 by changing my not so easy bulbs on my Acadia! Thanks You Tube! That was liberating! I am woman, hear me roar!”

“Got the job of my life. It only took me 63 years. Assistant teacher. Yippee! So proud of myself!”

“I moved 500 miles away from everything I’ve ever known to make a better life for my kids.”

“Today I am officially debt-free from my child’s hospital and medical bills”

The hardworking

“Went back full time for my master’s degree (4.0) while working full time and raising four kids!”

“Went from divorced, on welfare, with two small children to a registered nurse and financial stability!”

“Worked 16 hours and still made time to get my four kids to practice and do homework!”

“When my daughter said I’m the best mom even if I work too much”

The inspirational

“Surviving after my husband passed away.”

“Today I talked through my daughter’s first heart break! It was important for her to know that you can’t take people’s actions.”

“Having the guts to stand in front of their father’s fist to protect our 3-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter and saying ENOUGH!”

“Teaching myself how to code and building a business. I’m telling fear to take a hike and building my dream.”

The moments that make it all worth it

“When your house is a mess, but your kids are happy!”

“Spent time in the kitchen with my 16-year-old daughter, laughing and creating delicious food and even better memories”

“Sending my freshman college daughter off to school is the most kickass moment yet!”

“I was taking my boys to school and my 9-year-old opened my car door and said ‘after you mom!’ #raisinglittlegentlemen”

“Enjoying the downtime of a lazy Sunday and loving on my little tribe. Trade rushing around for snuggles.”

It’s hard not to get a lump in your throat and feel a wave of pride for all motherhood when reading the beautiful sentiments of the entrants! The wisdom, grace, and fortitude expressed through this collection of Kickass Mom Moments make us wish they could all win the New York City getaway because they are all deserving of our admiration and a reward for all their hard work!

The biggest winners are the children of these very worthy women, who can be proud to say they are being raised by incredible women who know no limits to the love they give, and who are models of hard work, determination, dedication, and kicking ass!
