  1. You tell us the requested amount you will be selling your item for.
  2. You sign a consignment agreement for a period of 30 days.
  3. We search globally for the best available price and explore numerous international channels such as Rap.net and Poligon, and other channels open only to other professional traders.
  4. Once we find a buyer for the requested price or better, we sell the item on your behalf.
  5. You get the cash.

Is my item insured during the consignment period?

Yes. Your item is insured during the entire consignment period.

Will my item be sent to other locations?

Occasionally, we will send your item out. However the entire process is fully managed and insured. Only trusted, reputable buyers will be able to view your item. Additionally, we will cover all insurance costs throughout the duration of the consignment period.

Do potential buyers physically view my item?

Yes. In the presence of a Worthy manager and under video surveillance, professional buyers are permitted to view items held at our secure facilities.

Can I visit your offices?

What is the minimum amount of time required for consignment?

In order to perform a thorough investigation of the market and reach all potential buyers, we require a minimum of 30 days. However, we recommend a consignment period of 60 or 90 days.

If I am not comfortable with the offers, can I extend the consignment period?

Yes. If we believe more time will result in a better price we will recommend that you extend the consignment period by an additional 30 or 60 days.

What are the chances that my item will eventually get sold?

In most cases we are successful in selling the consigned items. However, due to fluctuations in market demand, we cannot guarantee it.

Can I cancel the consignment of my item during the agreed consignment period?

No. You can not cancel the consignment of your item before the consignment period ends. Prior to and during the consignment period, Worthy invests a lot of resources to preform the services efficiently and carry all associated costs, including; cleaning, photographing, marketing, insuring, shipping and other out-of-pocket expenses.

If I don’t like the final offer, can I decline it and get my item back?

Before getting into the process, you will let us know the minimum amount that you wish to sell your item for. If we get a buyer that offers this amount or above, we will sell the item on your behalf. However, if the best offer is lower than the agreed minimum amount, we will first ask for your approval to sell it. Upon declining the offer at this point, yes you will receive your item back fully insured.

I have very nice jewelery. Do you need to disassemble it?

Occasionally. Our experience has proven that disassembling diamonds from their settings results in more accurate descriptions and ultimately higher sell offers. We will only disassemble your item upon your approval.
For the purposes of evaluating the exact characteristics and value of your precious stone, it is best that your diamond is loose. When diamonds and precious stones are loose, our experts can accurately define the exact carat weight, color, clarity and other important characteristics such as the fluorescence and cut grade.

Can anything happen to my jewelery during the evaluation process?

This is highly unlikely. However, disassembling and opening your jewelry’s prongs, carries a slight risk of damaging it. Keep in mind that your item is insured for any damage incurred during the evaluation process and we assume responsibility for damages incurred to the jewelry or diamond while in our possession.

Do you sell my item as one piece or in parts?

In most cases your entire item will be sold as one piece. In the event that any part of the item remains unsold, we will send it back to you.

Why didn't you disassemble my item prior to the first auction?

During the first auction, we describe your item professionally and certify it. However, Worthy consignment experts might require (not necessarily) to disassemble your item in order to generate better offers for you from additional selling channels.

If for some reason my valuable is not sold, will you reassemble my item?

No. You will need to reassemble the jewelery at your local jewelery store.

During the consignment period, will I be notified about offers that arrive?

Yes. We will update you regarding every bid received via email, text message or telephone.

Will the value that I asked for be the maximum amount that you will sell my item for?

It can be higher. The value that you asked for is the minimum that we are allowed to sell your item for. Occasionally, we are successful in selling items for more.

What will happen if you find an offer that is lower than the minimum I set?

In the event that the best offer that we receive is still lower than the agreed minimum amount, we will present the offer to you, and you can decide if you are still interested in selling your item or not.

Who are your buyers?

We have a network of hundreds and thousands of professional buyers in the US and all over the world. We are an approved dealer and have access to private and professional networks.

I do not want to wait for 30 days or more, I want to sell my item as fast as possible

As with any industry, when selling your item as fast as possible, you risk not actualizing your item’s optimal value. The longer an item is on consignment, the more buyers it will bring and the more likely that the optimal offer will be realized. For example, when selling a car second hand, the first offer made is usually lower than your initial expectation. If you decide to sell, you will receive your money fast albeit lower than your expectation. If you choose to withhold selling immediately, you will maximize your chance on finding a buyer that will bid an offer that meets your expectations.

Why do you think that you will be able to secure a better offer through Worthy Consignment than via Worthy Auctions?

Because Worthy Consignment enables countless buyers to provide offers while accessing numerous international channels such as Rap.net, Poligon, and other channels open only to other professional traders.

What if I receive an interesting offer from a potential buyer during the consignment period?

You are welcome to refer the buyer to us and we will take it from there.

How will I get my money when you sell the item?

We offer 3 convenient payment options. We can transafer the funds to your bank account or to your PayPal account. Alternitavely, we can send you a cashable check.
