Part Time Sales Representative

The Part Time Sales Representative position is an amazing opportunity to join a flourishing organization, grow with the role and make an impact. The role requires you to be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously by leveraging your dynamic interpersonal skills and goal oriented attitude to close transactions. Antique/Estate/Collectible Jewelry Auction Buyer Manager

The Auction Buyer Manager position in our Antiques/Estate/Collectibles Department is an amazing opportunity to join a flourishing organization, grow with the role and make an impact. Management of the buyer community is imperative to conducting smoothly run auctions achieving maximum bid interest for each item.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage industry and personal connections to source and acquire qualified buyers to the Worthy Buyer Community
  • Day to day management of the buyer community, ensuring all buyers’ questions and concerns are answered in a timely manner
  • Approval of buyers’ bids in the auction process
  • Monitor our multiple auction processes throughout the day
  • Act as an escalation point for the buyers, handing and resolving any service, invoice or payment issues as they arise.
  • Foster and leverage buyer relationships, receiving feedback aimed at improving the buyer experience for future engagements

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the wholesale Antique/Estate/Collectables jewelry market
  • An established pool of qualified wholesale buyers
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Flexible work schedule aligned with business’ needs, including willingness to travel

Staff Gemologist

Lab Team New York, New York, United States
The Gemologist is responsible for evaluation of jewelry and diamonds for our daily online auctions. S/he is responsible for the gemological information for each auction listing, and auction resale pricing for each item. The ideal candidate will be able to grade, evaluate and price diamonds, jewelry and gemstones. S/He will be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously while providing a high level of service to our seller community.

This includes:

  • Work with the receiving and photography teams to ensure fast and steady product flow.
  • Review products for auction, inspect and reject synthetics, imitations, and items which will fall below our minimum requirements.
  • Note damaged items for escalation to sales team, provide documentation and imaging.
  • Act as an escalation point for incoming items route them to the appropriate 3-party grading Labs.
  • Work with Vice President to establish monthly goals. Monitor auction progress regularly throughout the day
  • Flexible work schedule aligned with the business needs (Hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM to start)

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Gemologist Degree from the Gemological Institute of America
  • 1-3 years related jewelry experience
  • Excellent communication skills with extreme attention to detail
  • Highly independent, motivated, resourceful and intelligent
  • Able to master new technologies in short period of time
  • Able to manage multiple projects and clients at the same time
  • Able to work in a fast paced, startup environment
  • BS/BA Degree preferred
