In the rare event that a loss, theft, or damage occurs while your item is in our care, we’ll guide you through the insurance process. Here’s how it works:

  • We’ll first reach out to collect all relevant information about your piece.
  • Our in-house experts will provide a resale replacement estimate based on what your item would likely have sold for on our platform.
  • This information is then shared with a neutral third-party claims specialist who evaluates jewelry claims and determines the final insured value.
  • Worthy will work with you and our insurer to pursue reimbursement based on that assessment.
* Please note: Coverage only applies if all shipping and return guidelines were followed. For returns, any issues must be reported within 7 days of delivery to be eligible for coverage.

Yes. Your jewelry is insured for up to $50,000 from the time it is scanned by FedEx until it is either sold or returned and marked as delivered. Insurance coverage applies throughout transit, evaluation, auction, and return (if applicable).
To ensure your item is fully covered, you must follow the specific shipping and packaging guidelines provided. These instructions are designed to protect your piece during transit and are a requirement for insurance eligibility.

If your item is estimated to exceed $50,000, additional insurance may be available with pre-approval from Worthy at our sole discretion.
