About De Grisogono Watches

Fawaz Gruosi and two associates opened the first De Grisogono boutique in Geneva, Switzerland in 1993.  This boutique specialized in high objets d’art and high jewelry.  In 1995, Gruosi decided to leave the company to start a new company where he had sole control.  In 1996 Gruosi created a black diamond jewelry collection and thanks to this line he was able to open a boutique in London in 1996.
 
In 1999 Gruosi created a number of black diamond studded jewelry pieces and opened another boutique in Switzerland at the Palace Hotel in Gstaad. He then created his first watch collection in 2000 known as In One Instrument. That same year, he created a new jewelry line that features opalescent, milky white diamonds that he called ‘Icy Diamonds’.  Gruosi also opened a new boutique in Rome, Italy in 2000 as well. In 2001, Gruosi created his second watch known as Instrumentino which is a feminine version of the In One instrument. During 2001 he also opened another boutique in Porto Cervo. 

In 2011, Gruosi celebrated the black diamond by creating a new jewelry collection known as ‘Black Forever’.  In 2012, he launched the Melody of Colours jewelry. In addition, he introduced the Tondo Tourbillion Gioiello in the same year which was the first tourbillion for women created by De Grisogono. Gruosi also launched Tondo By Night which was the first photo luminescent watch the brand has created. In 2013, De Grisogono celebrated 20 years of incredible baroque-inspired jewelry and watches. To celebrate this achievement, De Grisogono launched a new jewelry watch known as the Sugar. In addition, a De Grisogono boutique was opened in Bal Harbor, Florida.
